A Basic Introduction To Spyware

by: Philippa Smith
Spyware is the most troublesome software to appear on the
Internet in recent times. When spyware infects a computer
system, it may be relatively harmless or it may be
devastating.

Spyware like coolwebsearch and new.net are capable of
paralyzing a computer system. Laws to regulate spyware are
pending in many states and may take years to enforce.

What Is Spyware?

Spyware is any software that collects information about
computer usage and/or the computer user. It is installed on
one computer and sends information to another computer.
Some spywares like the Weather Bug, Bear Share and Kazaa
are knowingly downloaded and installed by users. Other
spyware is installed without the knowledge or permission of
the user.

How Does Spyware Affect A Computer?

Symptoms of spyware infection includes:

* Very slow system performance while browsing the Internet.
* Your homepage changing mysteriously on its own.
* Excessive appearance of pop-ups, on sites likes Google,
Yahoo and MSN, which don't use them.
* You can only get your browser to visit sites, which are
trying to dupe you into buying spy ware removal software.

Many spyware detection and elimination programs are easily
available for free on the Internet.

How Does One Deal With Spyware?

There are many tools and catalogues available to deal with
spyware. One of these tools is Spybot Search and Destroy.
It scans computers for spyware and harmful programs. It
shows a list of problem areas to the user and allows him to
delete any or all of them.

A user can leave legitimate programs installed by him.
These may include peer-to-peer file sharing software or
software installed to monitor the on-line activities of
children.

A Comprehensive Solution

It may be a good idea for most computer owners to get a
comprehensive PC security solution as a bundle. Norton and
McAfee, now offer a complete security suite consisting of
anti-virus, personal firewall, anti-spam and privacy
offerings, and anti-spy ware.

They are quite easy to install and allow parents to monitor
children who use the computer. There are many threats on
the Internet, from which these suites can protect your
computer.

7 Secrets To Top Search Engine Rankings (Yes, Even #1 Positions!) For SEO Dummies"

by: Ewen Chia
There's hope for the 'little guys' in the
search engine ranking game, even if they
can't tell the difference between the title
and keyword meta tag!

You can achieve high rankings for important
keywords simply by applying certain rules
that stand the test of time and even
technology...and the number one rule is
really to...

...Help the search engines provide relevant
search results!

How do you do this? I'll reveal the
'secrets' soon.

While I'm far from being an SEO (Search
Engine Optimization) expert and am just
sharing experiences here, I've achieved
some phenomenal results by following these
basic rules and without resorting to
'tricks'. Importantly, these are rankings
that last.

- side note -

I'm not suggesting you shouldn't learn
about SEO or use genuine software that
helps, in fact you should.

To learn about SEO, some sites you can
check out:

http://www.selfpromotion.com : shows you
how to construct your webpages and submit
them to hundreds of search engines and
directories absolutely FREE.

http://www.searchenginewatch.com :
everything you need to know related to
search engines.

For software to facilitate your website
positioning, this one's the best:
http://www.turnkeymoney.com/te.htm

- end side note -

For example (at this time of writing), here
are my rankings for
http://www.Marketing-Make-Money.com in
Yahoo alone (remember these are extremely
competitive keywords):

'Make money online' | rank: #1 of 33.9
million sites Proof:
http://tinyurl.com/2wtr9

'Make money' | rank: #27 of 85.4 million
sites Proof: http://tinyurl.com/35cc3

'Web marketing' | rank: #4 of 113 million
sites Proof: http://tinyurl.com/yv8de

'Web marketing tips' | rank: #6 of 10.2
million sites Proof:
http://tinyurl.com/388a6

How did I achieve such incredible rankings
without being some SEO guru or even
obsessively optimizing my site?

Recall the number one rule? It's to help
the search engines provide relevant search
results.

Now I honestly believe there are only two
MAIN things which support this rule and in
the process, reward your website with the
high rankings you desire.

These two things are Keyword Rich Content
and Targeted Back Links which we'll talk
about later...

Here then are 7 powerful secrets you can
use to model your website after to explode
your high search engine rankings!

Step 1: Determine Highly Searched Keywords

Determine highly searched and targeted
keywords/keyword phrases related to your
site and put them into a list. Here're the
tools to use:

http://instantmarketingsecrets.com/keyword.htm : compares results of keyword searches
from Overture and Wordtracker and displays
them side by side.

http://smtek.info/cgi-bin/keywordtool.cgi :
allows you to find relevant hot keywords
with a single click...very cool very useful.

http://www.goodkeywords.com : excellent
software to find targeted keywords in
Overture and various other engines.

Step 2: Register Keyword Rich Domain Names

While there've been contrasting arguments
about whether having keywords in your
domain helps, I strongly feel it does. The
same goes for dashes between words in the
domain.

Use these to source for domain name ideas:

http://www.nameboy.com
http://www.deleteddomains.com

You can also register your domains for
peanuts per year here:

http://www.namecheap.com
http://www.registerfly.com

Step 3: Use Your Targeted Keywords In Your Copy

Use the list of keywords in step 1 within
your website copy, especially in the title,
headline and first paragraph. The important
thing is to make them flow smoothly within
the context of the copy so prospects will
not find it weird.

Step 4: Insert Keyword Rich Relevant Content

Next, build up your site's content with
relevant topics containing your keywords.
Don't worry, here are some ways to get
instant content:

- Posting suitable articles that contain
your keywords. These can either be your
own or from article directories like
http://www.ezinearticle.com ,
http://www.goarticles.com or
http://webpronews.com

- Posting newsletter issues in an archive
online if you write any

- Do reviews and commentaries on related
products and services in your market as
content

Step 5: Aggressively Acquire Targeted Back Links

This is the second most important (some say
it's the first) factor to note after
targeted and relevant content.

Get as many good quality incoming links
from other sites as you can, believe me,
this will really make a huge difference to
your rankings. These links should come from
sites in your market and preferably those
with high PageRanks of 5 and above.

Use http://www.webmasterbrain.com/prog/ to
search for sites with top rankings in
Google for your specified keyword/keyword
phrases. It also reveals their individual
PageRanks next to their listings.

An excellent resource to check PageRank can
also be found at http://rankwhere.com.

Alternatively, you can download Alexa
toolbar from http://ww.alexa.com as it also
shows Alexa traffic ranking for any site.
This is very useful for seeking high
traffic link partners.

If you are looking for mind-blowing linking
strategies and tricks, the best guide I've
ever seen must be "Power Linking 2:
Evolution" at:
http://www.turnkeymoney.com/powerlink.htm

Step 6: Hand Submit Your Site To The Top
Directories and Search Engines

There's no point in using those 'submit to
millions' services as only a few search
engines really matter.

Using those services may actually cause
your site to be penalized by these major
engines.

In fact if you've done enough important
reciprocal linkings, you don't even need to
submit your sites as spiders which crawl
your link partner sites (already indexed)
will pick up your link easily.

However, if you must submit, do it by hand
at these directories and search engines
here:

Ask Jeeves: http://tinyurl.com/467y
LookSmart/Zeal: http://tinyurl.com/2uzan
Mama: http://tinyurl.com/38gdb
Open Directory: http://tinyurl.com/2jk82
Google: http://tinyurl.com/hlzz
Yahoo: http://tinyurl.com/fq32
All The Web: http://tinyurl.com/2hq24
Inktomi: http://tinyurl.com/26cgu

Step 7: Tune Your Site For Maximum Optimization

The final step would be to constantly
monitor and analyze your website traffic
against rankings. This is so you can review
and tweak for further improvement in your
rankings.

I hope this article will prove highly
useful to you. Do not be scare away by SEO,
it's simple once you follow the above
system. While these steps are not
everything you can do, it'll be enough to
get your site ranked very well for the
targeted keywords you chose.

Again, remember the number one rule of
giving relevant content and establishing
good back links. Help the search engines
provide relevant results for their
customers and your rankings will
automatically skyrocket to the top!

3 Summer Computer Tips

by: Sharron Senter

Written By: Sharron Senter

#1 – Summer Computer Travel
Holiday travelers should be on alert when arriving home from long weekends, such as the Fourth of July, a popular time for computer viruses to spread.

Most computer users have a tendency to turn off their computers when away on trips, which means you’re not getting newly-released anti-virus patches or anti-spyware updates; the two most common areas that cause computers problems. We recommend you update anti-virus and anti-spyware scans before opening e-mail or going online after an extended absence.

We consistently see an increase in calls for virus related problems immediately following long weekends. Avoid the problems altogether by updating your security software before using your computer. For a free listing of viruses, spyware threats and trends, visit: www.VisitingGeeks.com/downloads.htm

#2 -- Should You Leave Your Computer Running?
One question we hear frequently is, "Should I leave my desktop computer on or turn it off?"

There are 2 schools of thought…
Turning it on and off numerous times during the day subjects the microcircuits to flexing and fatigue due to change in temperatures. Over time this could lead to a break in the circuitry and result in system failure.

Leaving the computer on all the time puts excess wear on the mechanical components (the hard drive spindle motor and cooling fans).

Best compromise. First user in the morning turns it on; last user turns it off.

We leave our desktops on all the time allowing for scheduled utility tasks to run during overnight hours. We also restart the systems (to flush the RAM and reset the operating system) on a regular basis and routinely remove the case covers to clean out any dust that may have accumulated, especially around the fans and screens.

#3 -- Stop Popups!
Never click inside the window of a popup. Instead, close it by clicking on the X in the upper right corner. Many people are fooled into installing spyware applications by popups that promise to clean their system. If you receive a message saying it can help, assume it’s spyware and don’t click!

A Beauty Salon Will Help You Look Your Best

A beauty salon will help you look your very best with a price that will fit in almost any budget. A beauty salon will be able to make your hair, skin, toes, and fingernails look marvelous. In addition, most beauty salons offer their services for a fairly reasonable price. However, sometimes it may be difficult to choose what service you want. If that is the case, simply be on the lookout for any fashion style that you like. Look through magazines and cut out photos of styles and colors that you find pleasing. Take notes so that when you do go to a beauty salon, you will know exactly what you want. However, be aware that some beauty salons are better than others. To make sure that you are in high-quality beauty salon, check to see if it has clean beauty salon equipment and a clean work area. Also, be aware that in most states, beauty salons are required to publicly display their establishment license. If the salon or barbershop won’t show you an establishment license, you don’t know whether the shop’s health and safety procedures have been approved by the state.

Time saving Beauty Salon Tips.

A beauty salon visit can be time consuming. To get the most from your visit and still have time left in your day, try these time-trimming tips. Before you leave your beauty salon, schedule your next appointment. Call ahead on your appointment day to see if your stylist is running on time. If not, you won’t have to waste time sitting at the beauty salon when you could be home. If you want to be quickly in and out for your beauty salon appointment, try to schedule the first appointment for the day.

travel

With airline travel increasing in record numbers, more people are experiencing the frustration of understanding the airlines industry language, and leaving them feeling that they need an interpreter for the travel information they're receiving from the airline industry! It seems that air companies think that every individual that flies should have to understand all that travel Jargon they place on their flight reservations, and maybe it's about time we figure out what they're talking about, because it's costing you money and valuable time!

Once you learn all the airlines travel terms, you won't be dependent on your local travel agent anymore, and he/she won't be able to collect all the wonderful service fees from you for being your traveling interpreter.

The price of your travel flight is based on many intricate components that the airlines reservations department implement, not to purposely confuse you, but to formulate their airfares and determine what they need to charge each passenger for all flights taken.

Now if you already know most of these airlines flight terms, then that's ok. However, there are many people that are new to traveling, and are now beginning to use online air suppliers to capitalize on the great deals they offer. But when you're making that reservation, you want to understand why the flight you selected is so cheap, and what are the reasons for the low pricing.

Misunderstanding in Airline Terms can cost you more money!

Most of the airlines service terms you will come across will play a big factor on whether you pay an expensive price for you ticket, or getting the discounted travel deals you're looking for in the first place. I will explain the most common industry terms that many people get confused about:

Nonstop versus Direct or Through Service: Don't get this one confused, because many airline companies don't explain this properly. Nonstop means exactly that, and most travelers want these flights, so they book-up quickly. You fly from your origin and land at your desired destination without any stops in between.

Direct or Through Service: This can get a little confusing to many individuals. The aircraft even though is en route directly to your destination, it may be making some routine stops on the way, and all passengers must remain on the plane at that time. There are many times when you print your ticket that it will not list the cities that it will be landing in, so it is always wise to investigate a little further, and see how long the stop is going to be in each individual city.

Connecting Flight: When you're on this type of service flight, now this is treated differently than the other services above. With this type of flight the plane travels from one city to another, however, the passengers must change aircrafts at some point between the origin city and the destination city.

On-line Connections: This is when you change an aircraft but continue to fly with the same carrier. So if you're flying form Los Angeles to New York on American Airlines. If you make a stop for example in Denver, you will change planes at that airport, but with the same American Airline carrier.

Interline Connection: This is when you as a passenger changes airplanes, but instead of boarding the same company plane you will be on a different airline. For this example, you're flying from Seattle, Washington en route to San Antonio, Texas. If you were on a United flight, you will have a stop in a city in-between your origin and destination, and let say you have to get on an American carrier to continue your journey. The main reason for this is that the particular airline company may not be flying into certain cities due to particular business reasons, so then they share with competing airline business companies.

Open Jaw: No it's not when you see the price of your ticket and your jaw drops. This trip is one in which you depart out of one city, and later return from another city. For example: you fly from San Diego, California to New York City, and then return back home from the city of Boston back to San Diego. This can dramatically increase your airline ticket, so if you're looking to visit a family member in another city that you arrived in, and then depart out of another city where your families live, then carefully check and make sure you understand this term.

Consolidators: A consolidator can be your friend if you understand how they work. Simply put, they purchase tickets from an airline at a rate less than the tariff, with the intention of reselling the tickets to either you the public or travel agencies. They buy tickets in bulk from air carrier companies, and therefore offer substantial savings. If you happen to be wondering what a tariff is, it's basically set pricing, rules, and regulations all put in place by authorized organizations in the airline industry.

Lets talk types of Fares! If you're searching for fares online, you will come across a list of different terminologies for your ticket, and it will reflect on the price you end up paying. The airlines distinguish certain fare prices by the terms normal or restricted.

Normal Fares: A normal fare is first class, business class, and economy. These have no restrictions such as advanced reservation requirements or minimum stay stipulations. Such flights are valid for one year from the date of the first flight and can be extended if not used within that period.

Restricted Excursion and Discounted Fares: These have certain restrictions, and that is why they are cheaper to purchase. They're sold with a number of conditions attached, which most require advanced reservations, and there is normally a minimum and sometimes a maximum stay requirement. Travel dates are pre-determined, and any changes in most cases are subject to a penalty, or at times you can't make any changes at all! Airlines limit the number of seats at these fares to encourage travelers to book early.

With an understanding how the air travel industry communicates, and how they determine a flight schedule and pricing, you will eventually be able to speak their language, prevent air lingo confusion, and obtain the best flight itinerary and price with this new knowledge!

5 Critical Steps to Protecting Your Computer on the Internet

Spyware, viruses and worms... oh my!

If you are connected to the internet, you need to make sure you get your computer set up properly if you want to avoid problems down the road.

With all the viruses, spyware and other threats on the internet today, no computer should be set up without the proper protection.

And that protection needs to be in place as soon after you hook up your new machine as possible.

The following five steps will make your computer a much harder target for threats. You still won't be completely immune to problems, but 99% of the time the threat will pass you by, looking for the easy mark.

1. Running a Personal Firewall

A personal firewall is software that basically makes your computer invisible to hackers, worms and other threats that can infect your computer over the internet.

Setting up a firewall is the absolute first thing you should do if you're going to connect to the internet. Without a firewall, your computer could get infected in as little as one minute after connecting.

If you have a brand new computer running Windows XP Service Pack 2, there is a firewall built into Windows. It will already have been turned on when you first set up your computer.

If you're running an older version of Windows, even an earlier version of Windows XP, there is no firewall automatically set up for you. In this case there are two possibilities:

- Your computer came pre-loaded with a firewall such as Norton Internet Security or McAfee Internet Security
- You have no firewall installed and should download one ASAP.

If you don't have any personal firewall software installed, you should do so right away. Zone Alarm is a very good firewall program that has a version that you can download and install for free.

You can download the free version of Zone Alarm from http://www.computer-help-squad.com/zonealarm

2. Turn on Windows Updates

Again, if you're running Windows XP Service Pack 2 this is already set up, but otherwise you should turn on Windows Updates. Microsoft releases updates for security problems and other bugs in Windows on a regular basis.

These updates will keep your computer running better, and they often fix security issues that could compromise your information or privacy.

If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, you can double-check that automatic updates are turned on by clicking Start, then click Control Panel, then double-click Security Center. The window that opens will tell you if automatic updates are turned on, and lets you turn them on if they're not.

To turn on automatic updates in earlier versions of Windows XP, click on the Start menu, click Control Panel and then double-click on System. On the "Automatic Updates" tab, click the option to "Automatically download the updates and install them on the schedule I specify."

To turn them on in Windows 2000, click on Start, click Control Panel and then double-click on Automatic Updates. Again, click the option to "automatically download the updates and install them on the schedule I specify."

Now when Microsoft releases updates, they will be downloaded for you automatically and Windows will tell you when they are ready to be installed.

3. Install & Update Antivirus Software

Most new computers come with antivirus software these days. You might have Norton, McAfee, PC-Cillin or another brand. No matter what program you have, you will need to update it when you get connected to the internet.

It doesn't matter how new your computer is - there will be new viruses, and new updates for the antivirus software, since it was loaded.

The exact process is different for each brand of antivirus program, but most of them will have an icon in the bottom right corner of your desktop, beside the time. The icon might be a picture of a shield (McAfee), a stethoscope (Norton) or something else.

In most cases, if you point to the icon for your antivirus and click the right mouse button, a menu will pop up with an update option. It could be simply called update or could be something like Live Update or Download Latest Updates. If you click on the update option (with the left button this time) it will install the newest updates for you.

If you're not sure which icon is for your antivirus software, just point to each one for a few seconds and a little title should pop up telling you what it is.

4. Install Anti-Spyware Software

Spyware - and other things known as adware and malware - is becoming as big a problem as viruses. Spyware programs can cause a lot of problems with your computer, not to mention they can track your personal information and you never know where it's being sent.

Some new computers might includes antispyware software, but most of them don't yet. There are quite a few anti-spyware programs available, some free and some not. The one I recommend is from Microsoft and is one of the free ones.

One of the reasons I like it is because it always runs in the background and will automatically catch a lot of spyware before it gets on your computer.

Many of the other programs don't catch it until you run a scan. Not only does this allow things to get on your computer, it also means you have to actually remember to run a scan.

You can download the free Microsoft Antispyware from http://www.computer-help-squad.com/antispyware

5. Set up a Free Email Account

This last item is not as critical as the first four, but I would highly recommend you set up an email account with one of the free services like Hotmail or Gmail.

Once you're on the internet, you'll find a lot of useful information that you want that requires you to provide an email address. In some cases, these people will end up sending you a bunch of spam.

If you use a free email account to sign up for anything that you don't know for sure you can trust, it's not going to fill your main email with a bunch of junk.

This goes for anything really, not just online information. If you're entering a contest or signing up for anything offline and you don't know where your information could end up being used, I would suggest using your free email address.

If worse comes to worse, and your free email address gets inundated with spam, you can always just set up a new one and let the old one expire.

Some of the better free email services are www.hotmail.com, www.gmail.com and www.yahoomail.com.

If you've had your computer for a while and never done any of these things, you should still take these steps to get it set up properly. It will definitely save you a lot of time - and possibly money - as you use your system.

3 Simple Ways To Save A Bunch Of Money When Buying A New Computer!

Looking to buy a new computer?

Overwhelmed by all of the options available to you?

Stressed by the high cost of computers today?

For most people, buying a new computer does not have to be as stressful as buying a new car. Nor does it have to be as expensive. If you’re like most people, and you have a limited budget for buying a computer, then you need to try to get as much computer for your money as possible.

Here are 3 simple ways anyone can save money when buying a new computer:

1) Shop around for best deal.

Sounds pretty obvious. But many people don’t realize they don’t need the fastest, most expensive computer with the most “extras”. In fact, if you are already using an older computer, even the least expensive new computer will be a big upgrade. If you don’t know a lot about computers, you can learn a lot by shopping around. Ask lots of questions, compare prices, compare features, then find the best price. Shop at your local electronics store, and look for the best deals online. You’ll be surprised at how much money you can save by shopping around!

2) Install your own “extras”

Many computers you will find in a store have a lot of extra software already installed. While this is convenient, it is not always the best way for you to save money. Also, while many of these extras sound good, you don’t always need them. You can often find better deals by shopping around separately for your own software extras (such as a word processor, anti-virus, popup blocker, spyware removal, games, etc). And some of these you can get for free. So before you buy the “fully loaded” computer, ask yourself if you really need all the extras, then shop around to see if you can buy a scaled down computer - and get the extras yourself for much less!

3) Don’t buy extended warranty

If you are not a computer “techie”, the extended warranties offered by the computer retailers often sound like a good idea. After all, who wants to be bothered paying for service on a computer after you buy it. But keep in mind that most computers come with a warranty, and most computer problems will either happen at the beginning (when you still have the warranty in effect) or much later (when it might be cheaper to buy a new computer). Technology changes very quickly these days. So consider whether or not it’s worth the inflated price of the extended warranty. And, if you really feel you need the extended warranty, then ask to purchase it at a lower price. Not all retailers will negotiate on the warranty, but some will. And whether you buy the extended warranty or not, make sure you back up all your files periodically, just in case!

If you have an unlimited budget, consider yourself lucky. And if you do business on the computer, make sure you get what you need, while trying to keep the price down. At any price, buying something that does not fit your needs is not a good deal.

Hope you find these tips helpful, and happy computer shopping!

Anti Aging

Aging can be explained by three theories. The first explains that aging is governed by a genetically driven time clock that will run out.

The next widely-accepted theory of aging is the "Free Radical Theory" that says that the body's inability to maintain a supply of free radicals as it ages greatly affects aging itself, and the "Hormonal Theory" that blames menopausal, andropausal, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular diseases for early aging because these conditions are believed to be indirect results of the body's reduction of hormone production.

Today, the most common means of fighting aging is through the use of anti-aging creams. In fact, when you look in different beauty and wellness stores, anti-aging creams take up a lot of space on the shelves.

Apart from the influx of anti aging products in stores they are advertised extensively on television, radio, on the internet and in magazines. They all promise the reduction of wrinkles, the elimination of fine lines and a more youthful skin.

Anti aging creams and lotions have always been targeted towards women. When globalizaiton and commercialization became a worldwide hit, the industry of beauty and wellness became open to men. Products and service were created with men in mind. Anti aging products that are formulated for men are readily available.

In order to be able to select the proper products for your skin, you must know what your skin type is. Different skin types require different ingredients. Take the time to learn what your skin type is.

Aging of the skin can be caused by dirt and oil. If your skin ages due to oil or dirt, choose and anti aging cream that reduces free radicals. Another cause of aging is the deterioration of collagen. If your skin lacks collagen, opt for a cream that aids in the restoration of collagen. There are many various products available in cream, water-based, or capsule form.

The price tag on a product does not assure the quality of the product. Some of the best anti aging creams or lotions have a very reasonable price tag. There is no need to spend more than your budget allows.

Make sure that you pay a visit to your doctor or to a dermatologist first before buying a anti-aging creams or products for that matter so he or she can give you advice.

Achieving Success With Affiliate Programs

by: Angela Wu
No product... not even a product idea. What's a would-be
online entrepreneur to do?

For many beginners, affiliate programs seem like a dream
come true: earn a commission selling another company's
products or services. No need to create one of your own!
What's even better is that you only have to place a couple
of banners or links on your website, and this hot product
will sell itself! Right?

No. Just like with any other online business, earning money
from affiliate programs requires education and experience
with Internet marketing. Affiliate programs are a great
way to learn the basics of marketing online. Although it's
the rare person who makes a significant full-time income
from them, many people find that they provide an excellent
supplementary income stream.

Many newbies to the 'net are so eager to get started that
they sign up with every affiliate program that looks good
to them. They advertise like crazy, often spend hundreds
of dollars -- only to be disappointed at their complete
lack of sales.

So what does it take to make money with an affiliate
program? Here are a few key tips ...

__Make Smart Choices.

To get started, choose only one or two high-quality
programs that are a good fit with your website audience.
For example, if you're running a crafts website, don't
advertise technical software.

One or two programs will provide you with plenty of work
to begin with. More than that and you may find yourself
frantically trying to promote too many and having little
success. It's better to start earning money with a
couple of good programs first, then gradually add
additional income streams later on.

You may also find, over time, that your audience responds
to a certain type of product and not to others. Test
different offers to see which ones your audience like
best.

__Don't Rely on Your Downline.

2-tier affiliate programs offer additional commissions
everytime someone in your 'downline' makes a sale. Your
'downline' are those people you refer to the program who
also become affiliates.

Don't become obssessed about recruiting subaffiliates.
Remember that you can only control your own efforts;
you can't control what other people do. Concentrate
on making your own sales... and if your subaffiliates
make sales too, consider it a nice bonus!

__Hard Work, Determination, and a Willingness to Learn

Don't let anyone tell you different: Internet marketing
is hard work. It does *not* consist of slapping up a
few banners, blasting out a few ads, or - heaven forbid
- spamming millions of people.

You'll need the determination to keep you going through
the 'tough' periods. People tend to expect instant
results on the Internet. Unless you're a marketing
genius or already have a targeted, high-traffic site,
chances are you won't see immediate results. Keep in
mind that everyone's different - some people will see
profits in a few weeks, others in a few months.

__Experimentation and Adaptability

One day, after plenty of hard work, you may finally see
the coveted 'You've made a sale!' notification. That's
wonderful! Now HOW and WHY did you make that sale?

Don't be afraid to experiment with different marketing
methods. If one thing doesn't work, try another. If
something works, keep using it or even try to improve
upon it.

For all of this experimentation to be successful you must
track the results of each marketing campaign. This is the
only way to truly determine which methods are bringing in
profits, and which ones should be replaced with something
more effective.

While it's true that most people never make money from
affiliate programs, it doesn't have to be true for you.
Only you can determine the outcome!

Another simpler and less expensive way to do and the way that I recommend are to write the content yourself. Writing content for an Adsense blog is not that difficult. All you really have to do is come up with some keywords you wish to target, develop some interesting titles around those keywords, and then start writing. This method takes both time, efforts, and a little of dedication but the long term pay off is immeasurable.

With Word press, setting up a blog is easy and in few minutes of point and click you can have the most powerful tool to make money online. The Internet is the essence of marketing, by that I mean, every word in an ad matters, every color, where the ad is located on your blog, whether it is blinking or not, and the color of the text. It might not seem like all of those things matter, but the fact is, everything that you decide matters. The good thing is you can experiment with how your blog looks as much as you want. There are several e-books written on how you should place and where you should place them, in the beginning, just go with the basic blog set-up until you get the hang of things.

Making money blogging is the best way to dip your toe in the internet marketing waters. It is absolutely free to do, and if you become proficient at it, then there is no reason why you can't be making many hundreds of dollars a month, if not four figures. Furthermore, if you've successfully done it once, you can successfully do it again with another blog. Rinse, repeat and watch your online income double.

A lot of well-meaning people searching for Make Money Blogging Sites also searched online for What Is A Video Blog?, Identity Theft Prevention, and even The Best Blog Sites.

Affiliate Program

Make money with Affiliate Program.
Another way to earn money with your blog or website is through affiliate programs, this is to sell your product from another page or your blog, is that product placement advertising on your site or blog, and every time a person Click and buy the product yourself you pay a percentage of that sale. There are affiliate programs that pay up to 60% commission on each sale, or you want more than the actual owner of the product and this is fantastic, for example on the link at the bottom of this article can buy the product and then join the affiliate program to earn more money than the actual author of the product.

These two ways of making money on the Internet are perhaps the most traditional and leaving higher profits with little investment, there are many more ways to get started but I think it would be enough.

The advantages of Internet Marketing in a bad economy

Most of the financial news regarding the economy has been pretty dismal over the past few months. Plummeting stocks, failing banks, hundreds of billions of dollars being passed around in the hopes of fixing it all. People are understandably worried about the economy, their jobs, their homes and their credit.
Meanwhile, in the past 3 months my net income has risen 20% even though I've only been working an hour or two per day since my son was born. How is that possible? It's simple: Internet Marketing is very resistant to the economic woes facing other industries. Let's talk about why.
Advertising
Television and radio are kept alive by the ROI (return on investment) of their sponsors, and the commercial web is no different. The advantage of advertising online is that it's far more efficient. When a sponsor puts an ad on a television show or radio program, they can only be vaguely certain of who is watching or listening. Sure the networks provide their own research in demographics and how large their audience is, but much of it is guesswork and impossible to know for sure.
Also, results from TV and radio are very difficult to track. How do you know if the person who just bought your widget was motivated to do so by seeing or hearing your commercial? Again, it's guesswork.
The internet is different. When you place an ad online, you can track exactly how many people saw it, precisely how many people responded (clicked-through) and exactly how much money you earned from it. You can work to refine and improve your ads to improve your ROI as well. It's vastly superior to TV and radio in that regard.
So when it comes time for companies to tighten their belts, it only makes sense that they will focus on the ad medium that has the best ROI.
What does this mean for you, the Internet Marketer? It means that your advertising-driven web sites that use AdSense or other programs will likely remain relatively healthy during hard times. My own AdSense income has not changed much despite the economic troubles, which is no surprise to me. It's also good news for anyone in the search engine optimization business (or related businesses such as pay-per-click), since they, too offer great ROI opportunities.
Selling Information
Another reason that Internet Marketing does well when other sectors are having problems is that people who lose their jobs in those other sectors often turn to the Internet to try and earn a living. When an industry starts having problems, people who lose their jobs in that industry often have a very hard time finding work in the same industry. If they can't find a job, what can they do? Again, many turn to the Internet — the "new economy."
Unfortunately, there are a lot of sharks out there ready to take advantage of these individuals. But for those of us who are honestly offering real opportunities and solutions, we find even more customers during such hard times.
Leveling the Risk
A third reason why Internet Marketing tends to do well even when things look gloomy everywhere else is because the Internet makes it much easier to level your risk. I have customers in 60+ countries. When one country's economy isn't doing so well, another's is flying high, and so I'm less affected. A unique advantage of doing business on the web.
So stay focused on your online business, and remember that you're in a better position to weather the storm than most.
